I don't think Oscar Mulero has to worry about leaving a legacy. His influence in this type of techno will hardly be forgotten for years and years to come. Groundbreaking skills as a vinyl dj and producer and still (2023) on top of his game. This 2019 release is a display of pure power. Raw, deep, hypnotic and very well balanced with a wide dynamic range and variaty of well structured sounds.

Oscar Mulero specialises in techno of the blood and thunder variety but while "Muscle and Mind" certainly has steel in its toecaps, a unidimensional aggression-fest it most certainly ain't. Behind every barrage of kicks there's a wealth of sonic detail (the echoing peals of fractured bells on "Interrelated", for example) to keep things interesting. Ferocity with finesse.
